You'll need your mobile device to sign up and complete verification. Head to the iOS App Store, Google Play Store, or tap here to get the goConfirm app.

Once you’ve downloaded the app, your first step will be to enter your email and set a password. Next, we’ll move on to building your profile!

Set a profile photo

First, set a profile photo—this should be well-lit and closely cropped to your face. Make sure to choose a photo with no glasses or obstructions, and no other people in the frame.

Your profile photo will not be public, and is only shared with verified users who connect with you through a goCode you choose to share.

Verify your identity

Please note that if you have already signed up for goConfirm and started verification, you will not be able to continue, even if you did not previously complete it, or your original account has been deleted. We may be able to help. Please contact support.

Choose the appropriate country and ID type. Only physical IDs are accepted. If you only have digital identification, please contact support. Scan your ID in a well-lit room on a neutral background. Lastly, a quick face scan to make sure the person using your ID is you. You're done!

If you see a notice that your verification is processing, you can expect an email notification when it's completed. This usually takes no more than five minutes.

Create your goCode

You're ready to create your goCode! A unique code used to connect with others and build trust in relation to a specific product or service transaction.

If you are joining Second Edit, please choose Community Entry and enter "Second Edit" in the description field.

Otherwise, choose Buy and Sell. Enter the details of your transaction in the description, for example:

• Seeking sellers' goods for Mother's Day Hamper

Copy, paste, and share

On the confirmation screen for your goCode, tap the button to copy it to your clipboard. Switch back over to Facebook, and paste it into your new draft post. Submit your post as usual!

Please note that our moderators will still need to review and approve the post, but posts with goCodes are prioritised and will be featured for improved visibility.

Connect with buyers or sellers

When you want to make a deal with another member, make sure you ask them to connect using your goCode. They can do this by entering your code in their own goConfirm app. When they do, you'll exchange verified profiles and have improved confidence in one another, as well as a record of your connection in the event you need it.

Your goCode will automatically expire at the time you selected, or you can choose to archive it at any time. Once it is expired or archived, sensitive information will be redacted.
